Process integration

Workpiece handling and process tasks – with our process integration, this is all done from a single source: boost the efficiency of your production thanks to the integration of the various processes directly in the automation cell or production line. Feedback of measurement results keeps your production process stable. Add a DMC code to your parts for future traceability. Deburr sharp edges and then clean your parts. Every step of the way is intuitive thanks to our user-friendly Wenger control panel (Siemens), with no need for additional interfaces.

We’ve generated a great deal of expertise in the following fields and can offer you direct process integration in automation systems for them:

Measurement

Static, dynamic, or scanning (profiling)

We offer:

Tactile metrology (mechanical probes)
Air metrology (air measuring gauges for internal diameter)

Feedback of measurement results to the machine tool
Development of process control strategy

And all that with a measurement accuracy of up to 0.1 μm.

Via NC-controlled axes, we can not only approach individual measuring points but also scan and display entire profiles. This is directly integrated in our Siemens controller, doing away with the need for expensive external measuring computers. The measured data is visualised on a separate screen and can be exported in the Q-DAS format.

Deburring

Our brushing stations allow you to remove lilac burrs or to brush reliable and constant edge roundings in the range of 10 to 20 μm. Automatic wear compensation regulates the contact pressure – ensuring consistent quality.

After conducting tests on our in-house brushing system, we’ll be happy to show you how to deburr your workpieces.

Cleaning

Clean and dry your workpieces directly after the process in our custom cleaning stations. Thanks to longstanding experience with automated cleaning, we are able to clean and try workpieces in very short cycle times.

Labelling

Do your workpieces require a label or marking to ensure part traceability or assign process data to a workpiece? For example with DMC codes, numbers, etc.?

Then permanent marking is the first step. We select the method to match the workpiece and integrate either a laser or nail labelling station. Our longstanding collaboration with Trumpf, Borries and other manufacturers guarantees high-quality results.

Vision applications

Depending on your application, we select the appropriate camera from Cognex, IOSS, Keyence, or other manufacturers to read a DMC code or fulfil other optical inspection tasks. This includes not only automated reading of codes, but also assessing the quality according to the common standards.

Crack testing

Does your customer require you to inspect its parts for material cracks? We integrate eddy current test probes in our systems, allowing us to offer you non-destructive material tests directly on the automation line.
